Healthcare Security

Medical offices and facilities, whether large or small, require top-notch safety and security services. This is why our team of specialized and trained experts are committed to being the community’s responsive security service partner. When it comes to protecting a healthcare facility’s patients, property, staff, information, and brand, healthcare security directors and executives can trust Premier Nationwide Security Services. We not only patrol but also observe and report any activity that may be deemed suspicious, unauthorized, or unsafe. We want hospitals and other facilities to remain a safe place where patients can receive the care that they deserve.

We Welcome, Help and Protect

Our flexible approach allows us to tailor our security solutions to the needs and requirements of each healthcare facility. Our key goal is to provide healthcare providers, especially hospitals, with an all-encompassing security solution that helps them operate effectively, efficiently, and safely. We stop at nothing to ensure the security of the facility without compromising its inviting atmosphere. Our experience, specialized training, and proactive supervision make our careful balance of customer service and security much more evident. Our officers are appropriately dressed in quality business clothing or traditional police/military uniform to keep an approachable presence. They assist patients, staff, physicians, and other individuals with directions and any means possible, including monitoring and restraining intoxicated, violent patients or visitors; investigating and documenting incidents; and providing necessary liaison between local law enforcement agencies and hospital staff.

Extra Care Included

The Premier nationwide security team assists in instances of violence and aggression where for various reasons patients are, out of control-often medically induced-and posing a danger to themselves, staff or to other patients.

Aside from that, our team deal with anti-social behavior: skateboarders, bikes, public drunkenness or under the influence of other substances, minor acts of vandalism and patients with challenging behaviors or confusion.

Premier nationwide security deal with missing patients and anyone where there’s a welfare or safeguarding need. They assist with any criminal acts such as threats that occur on the site and any threatening behavior, thefts, criminal damage or whatever the day throws at them.

Different Training Processes

Healthcare security is a unique sector and exceptional in its challenges and legal framework. The way we train healthcare officers is very different. You can’t just transpose a typical and even well qualified security officer to a healthcare roll without a lot of additional training. The fundamentals of patrolling, arresting, and addressing criminal activity are much the same, but with healthcare comes all the variables of mental health, deprivation of liberty and the fact that we’re working on a site that is by virtue of its operation, open to the public.

Some patients may misbehave or present challenging behavior, but we have to bear in mind that they might be misbehaving because of an illness or condition. So we have to be mindful of their human rights and compliance with safeguarding, dignity, confidentiality and the Mental Health Act.
